ANOTHER GREAT
A collection of 8 assorted medals and medallions, prominently featuring ‘The Bell Medal’ associated with Miniature Rifle Clubs. The collection includes various styles, from classical athletic depictions in relief, such as runners and a cyclist, to institutional and event-specific designs. Notable examples include a bronze medal for the “LINCOLN COUNTY MINIATURE RIFLE ASSOCIATION” (marked “FOUNDED 1907” and featuring a red cross shield), a silver-toned medal for “WORTHING REGATTA” dated “1951” on the reverse, and a gilt metal and enamel medal for “ENFIELD DARTS LEAGUE” dated “1972” with a dartboard motif. The majority are crafted from bronze or copper alloys, with one gilt metal example featuring blue and red enamel, and one silver-toned metal medal. Many are equipped with suspension loops. The visible dates indicate a period spanning the early to mid-20th century.
