A collection of 8 vintage fob medals and pendants, crafted from various metals including bronze-tone, silver-tone, and dark patinated alloys. While examples of similar items are often found in sterling silver, and some by makers such as Fattorini, specific hallmarks are not visible on all pieces within this lot. The medals and pendants are predominantly circular or ornate shield-shaped. One smaller shield-shaped item features colorful enamel with a multi-part design including waves and a target. The depictions on the medals cover a range of activities and figures, including a classical-style draped figure, an archer, a diver or swimmer, multiple rowing sculls, and figures engaged in racket sports. One medal displays a prominent horseshoe motif with green enamel, inscribed ‘LEICESTER RURAL’. Another large rowing medal is inscribed ‘DUBLIN METRO REGATTA’. One medal is suspended from a red, white, and blue tricolor ribbon.
