A collection of ‘The History of World War II’ Westminster Coin Collection First Day Covers, presented in a black, possibly faux leather, album with gold-tone rings. The album contains paper pages titled “The History of World War II,” each holding a transparent plastic sleeve. Within these sleeves are multiple commemorative First Day Covers, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of VE Day and the Liberation of various British Crown Dependencies, including Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man. Each cover features uncirculated coins, primarily £2 denominations, and associated postage stamps, all postmarked around May 1995. The coins depict WWII scenes, figures such as Winston Churchill, and national symbols, often marked “1945-1995” and identifying the respective islands. Visible text on the covers includes “Victory in Europe 1945-1995,” “VE Day,” “50th Anniversary,” “Liberation of Jersey,” and “First Day Cover.”
