A collection of vintage woodworking auger brace bits and assorted hand tools. The lot is centered around an extensive assortment of brace bits, varying in auger, spade, and twist designs with square shanks, presented within a worn olive-green/brown ribbed fabric tool roll. Maker’s marks observed on various bits include “W.M.M. Co. PAT’D”, “S.I.P. Co. PAT. APL’D FOR”, “FRAY”, and “RUSSELL JENNINGS MFG CO.” or “RUSSELL JENNINGS”. Complementing these are loose tools including two metal files, a pair of spring-loaded saw-set pliers, two additional large brace bits, and a hinged, multi-sectioned metal tool resembling a folding brace or specialized wrench.
