ANOTHER GREAT
A collection comprising three silver-plated animal figurines from the Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF) series, accompanied by a wooden box and a trophy cup. The figurines include a beaver (no. 12), a rhinoceros (no. 6), and a tiger (no. 7), each mounted on a dark plinth. The beaver figurine features a blue label on its base with Dutch text: “BEVER nr. 12 v/d serie verzilverde dieren van het WERELD NATUUR FONDS Postbus 7, 3700 AA Zeist”. The rhinoceros and tiger figurines have black labels on their bases identifying them as “NEUSHOORN No. 6” and “TIJGER No. 7” respectively, also part of the WWF ‘silver-plated animals’ series from the ‘Wereld Natuur Fonds’. The rectangular dark wood box, possibly mahogany, is fitted with brass strap hinges, corner protectors, and a keyhole escutcheon. Its interior is cream-lined and contains several metal keys. A tarnished, two-handled metal trophy cup is mounted on a yellow translucent base, featuring a small, partially legible plaque.
