ANOTHER GREAT
A vintage Brass Eccles Protector Miners Lamp, Type 6. This safety lamp features a cylindrical brass body with a vented top and a robust carrying handle. The front is adorned with a circular plaque inscribed “THE PROTECTOR LAMP & LIGHTING Co LTD” around the outer edge, and centrally reads “TYPE 6,” “M & C SAFETY LAMPS,” “APPROVAL No. B/28,” and “MAKERS ECCLES.” A clear glass globe protects the internal wick mechanism, secured by a protective brass cage.
