ANOTHER GREAT
A diverse collection of numismatic items, primarily featuring British currency and a historical commemorative set. Included are two British banknotes: a pre-decimal Ten Shillings note and a decimal One Pound note, both issued by the Bank of England, with the latter depicting Queen Elizabeth II. Two distinct presentation sets are present: one titled ‘BRITAIN’S FIRST DECIMAL COINS’ containing multiple metallic coins, and another commemorating the ‘400th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SPANISH ARMADA, 1588-1988’. The Armada set includes coins described as an ‘8 Reales, Phillip II of Spain, Lima Mint’ and a ‘2 Tariqs, Phillip II of Spain, Naples Mint’, categorized as ‘Armada Treasure’. A group of further loose coins are included, some bearing the inscription ‘ELIZABETH II D G REG F D’, alongside a larger collection of copper-colored coins housed in a blue presentation box. Materials consist of paper for the banknotes and various metallic alloys for the coins.
