ANOTHER GREAT
A late 19th/early 20th century Arts and Crafts carved oak napkin or letter holder. This collapsible wooden item is constructed primarily of dark-stained, possibly quarter-sawn oak, and features an upright panel with a simple rectilinear base and a shelf. The top of the panel is adorned with a lighter-toned, decorative carved wood or gesso appliqué featuring a stylized floral or shell motif. While identified by market consensus as a napkin or letter holder, its form also allows for use as a small display easel or plate stand.
