ANOTHER GREAT
A collection of approximately thirty-plus figural metal chess pieces, crafted from a silver-toned base metal, likely pewter or lead alloy. The pieces depict historical or mythological warrior figures, horsemen, and architectural elements, with several bases stamped “252.” Accompanying the chess pieces are two small wooden boxes: one a simple, dark wood hinged box, and another featuring an intricate marquetry top with scroll and foliate designs. Also present is a small rectangular wooden panel with a geometric textured surface and a “2097” sticker. The lot is completed by a pair of ceramic and gilt metal pub tap handles, decoratively painted with fox hunting scenes and clearly inscribed with the text “Ye Olde Pub Handle.”
