ANOTHER GREAT
A collection of Apollon Keramik Rodos decorative wares, comprising nine ceramic or porcelain items. Each piece features a dark cobalt blue glaze extensively adorned with 24K gold gilding. The classical style depicts figures in ancient Greek or Roman attire engaged in various activities, complemented by geometric and ornate patterns. Specific forms within the collection include an amphora-style urn with handles, two lidded boxes (one round, one rectangular), a footed bowl, a decorative dish or candelabra, a smaller lidded jar, a squat, bulbous perfume bottle with an atomizer pump, and a small round lidded trinket box. The base of one item is marked “HAND MADE GOLD 24 K RHODOS” with a prominent stylized ‘A’.
