ANOTHER GREAT
A bronze mortar and pestle set by LeVerrier, featuring a dark-patinated or ebonized body contrasted by polished bronze elements including the rim, interior, base, and pestle. The exterior of the mortar is decorated with applied circular medallions, each depicting a radiating sun-like or stylized lion’s head motif, flanking a central raised vertical band. The underside of the mortar is clearly inscribed with “BRONZE” and the name “LeVerrier”.
