An Antique Brass Book stand .Constructed from patinated brass or bronze, this piece features an ornate, pierced backplate with extensive scrollwork, foliate motifs, and quatrefoil-like elements. The design is bordered by a textured, possibly stippled edge. A simple finial tops the central support, and two pivoting arms extend from the base, likely intended to hold oil lamps or candles.
