A vintage-style miner’s lamp wall sconce, featuring an octagonal polished brass or brass-tone metal plaque with a raised relief of crossed mining hammers, often referred to as ‘Schlägel und Eisen’. Suspended beneath the plaque by a curved hook and attached by a white electrical cord is a miniature lamp, styled like a miner’s safety lamp, constructed from brass-tone metal, glass, and an internal fine mesh cylinder, housing a modern-looking light bulb. The piece is hung by a metal chain from a single eye-hook.
