Buyer's premium:

This lot comprises three enameled metal signs, consistent with the ‘Smaltovaná cedule’ (enameled sign) style found in the Czech market, depicting famous Prague landmarks. Each rectangular sign features a vibrant red background with white capitalized sans-serif text, framed by a stylized navy blue and white decorative border. The top sign reads “VÁCLAVSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ” (Wenceslas Square) over “NOVÉ MĚSTO – PRAHA 1” (New Town – Prague 1), with a small white tag displaying “6001” and “1009” attached by twine. The middle sign displays “KARLŮV MOST” (Charles Bridge) above “MALÁ STRANA – PRAHA 1” (Lesser Town – Prague 1). The bottom sign shows “ZLATÁ ULIČKA” (Golden Lane) over “HRADČANY – PRAHA 1” (Hradčany – Prague 1). Each sign is pierced with holes in the corners, some retaining fragments of twine.
Each approximately 8 x 4 inches (20 x 10 cm).
