A vintage Delta Powerlite Lantern by the Delta Electric Company, Marion, Indiana, dating to the mid-20th century, likely the 1950s. This portable electric lantern features a utilitarian, industrial design, constructed primarily of metal with a speckled grey finish. It includes a hexagonal base, a swinging metal carrying handle, and a large, adjustable front reflector with a brass-toned rim. The top lid is embossed with ‘Delta POWERLITE LANTERN,’ instructions to ‘USE GE NO. 302 BULB & DRY BATTERY’ and for battery replacement, ‘DELTA ELECTRIC COMPANY MARION, INDIANA MADE IN U.S.A.,’ and ‘PAT. NO. 2008826.’
