Another Great Auction
A polychrome religious devotional statue depicting the Virgin Mary, known as ‘Our Lady of Grace’. The figure stands on a base of clouds and is mounted on a rectangular dark brown plinth. She wears a blue tunic and a white mantle, with a red and cream halo adorned with green floral motifs. The material is a composite, likely resin or a similar cast material. The front of the plinth bears the inscription “24.06.1981 KRALJICA MIRA MEDUGORJE,” which translates to “June 24, 1981 QUEEN OF PEACE MEDUGORJE.” The underside of the cloud base is impressed with “FLORENCE” and “© 1988.”
