Another Great Auction
A collection of four commemorative medallions. The primary item is a 1980 PYE Moscow Olympics Solid Bronze Souvenir Medallion, presented in its original Sandhill plastic case with a dark insert. The medallion depicts an Olympic athlete and is dated ‘MOSCOW 1980’ and marked ‘PRESENTED BY PYE’.
Accompanying this are three further commemorative medallions. The second medallion is a copper-toned ‘SOLID PROOF MEDALLION’ from ‘GR. MANCHESTER MUSEUM,’ featuring ‘GEORGE STEPHENSON’S ROCKET,’ presented in a clear plastic case with a dark insert. The third is a gold-toned medallion encased in a clear capsule, displaying stylized hands and the text ‘hand in hand together and work’. The final item is a loose, copper-toned medallion commemorating ‘WELLINGTON’ and ‘WATERLOO JUNE 18, 1815,’ depicting a winged figure.
