Another Great Auction
A group of five religious crucifixes, varying in size, material, and style. The lot includes two prominent pieces, crafted from brass or bronze, featuring elaborate decorative elements such as fleur-de-lis motifs and scrollwork. The crucifix on the right clearly bears the inscription ‘INRI’ on a plaque above Christ’s head, which translates to “Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum” (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews). A third smaller crucifix, likely brass or bronze, stands towards the left. The central crucifix comprises a white figure of Christ, possibly plaster or resin, affixed to a dark-stained wooden cross, displaying a white sticker with the number ‘1001’ on its base. The final piece features a dark-toned metal corpus, potentially bronze or pewter, mounted on a plainer cross.
