Another Great Auction
A collection comprising D’Arceau Limoges ‘Noel Vitrail’ series collector’s plates. At least five plates feature detailed polychrome designs in a “stained glass” style, depicting religious scenes. One plate is clearly marked “D.G.A.L. 1980.” These are accompanied by brochures titled “The Glory of God, The Dignity of Man, and The Celebration of Life through Art.” Also present is “The D’Oyly Carte Plate,” displaying historical figures in period costume surrounded by dates ranging from 1875 to 1896, accompanied by its original box or stand. Further plates include a “Yorkshire Tercentenary 1664-1964” commemorative plate with a sepia image of a building, a plate with a kingfisher bird illustration, and a smaller floral patterned plate with “Royal Worcester” partially visible on the reverse.
