Another Great Auction
A Tibetan Painted Four-Door Cabinet, 19th Century, constructed from wood with a painted and possibly lacquered finish. The cabinet exhibits a vibrant color scheme of red, black, gold, and teal, characteristic of an East Asian aesthetic. The front features four hinged doors, each decorated with a gilded dragon motif amidst clouds, and two small drawers below, all fitted with simple metal ring pulls. Floral and scrollwork designs adorn the base and decorative vertical uprights. The side panels depict lotus flowers and a dragonfly. Internal markings “G 陆” (G Lù), or possibly “G6”, are visible on the inside of a door and a drawer, likely for assembly or inventory purposes.
