A Royal Crown Derby ‘Robin’ paperweight. This decorative fine bone china bird figurine is stylized as a plump robin with a red breast. The piece features a glossy white ground extensively hand-painted with reddish-orange on the breast, deep blue/purple feather detailing on the wings and back, and intricate gold gilding outlining and accentuating the patterns. The base displays an embedded gold-colored medal and a red printed mark, both clearly reading “ROYAL CROWN DERBY” and “MADE IN ENGLAND” with a crown and monogram. The additional marking “MMI” indicates a manufacture date of 2001.
