This panelled hardwood chest, likely oak, features a hinged lid and two full-width drawers below, supported by square, slightly splayed feet. The construction style includes raised panels on the lid, front, and sides. It is fitted with brass escutcheons and drop-ring pulls. The interior, accessed via robust iron hinges, is plain wood and contains an old, dark metal key.
