Both pieces are decorated with coordinated hand-painted designs in shades of ochre, brown, and blue on a cream-colored ground, featuring scrolling foliate motifs, geometric patterns, and dotted accents. The base of the lidded jar bears handwritten markings in dark ink on unglazed terracotta, which read “R:18 / OLARIA DE ALFERRAGI / ALGARVE / DONA.”
