A Georgian Style inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase secretary desk, constructed in two parts. The upper section features a glazed cabinet with twin doors, each adorned with Gothic-arch tracery and glass panes. The lower section comprises a fall-front bureau, accented with an oval veneered panel, which opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes, small drawers, and an inset red leather writing surface with decorative gold tooling. Beneath the bureau, there are four graduated drawers fitted with circular brass ring pull handles on backplates, and the unit stands on bracket feet. Inside the upper cabinet, loose wooden elements are secured with tape, and a handwritten label visible states “key / Screws,” indicating accompanying parts.
