A pair of standing crucifixes. The larger example features a wooden cross with a lighter grain visible on the crossbar and a darker, stained upright, mounted on a substantial, multi-tiered wooden base. It presents a silver-toned metal corpus of Christ, depicted with a radiant sunburst behind the head, and a scroll above marked “INRI” (Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum – Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews). A small metal skull and crossbones motif is affixed near the base of the cross. The smaller crucifix is entirely crafted from a gold-toned metal, likely brass or bronze, featuring an ornate cross with decorative trefoil terminals, floral motifs, and an integral stepped circular base. It also includes a metal corpus of Christ and an “INRI” plaque.
