Another Great Auction
A late 20th-century glazed ceramic two-handled footed vessel, resembling a trophy cup or modern krater, dated 1987. The white-bodied piece is adorned with bold, abstract floral or leaf motifs in deep red, brown, and ochre, accented with gold bands at the rim and mid-body. The handles feature a contrasting red and white checkered pattern. The pedestal base is inscribed with “12 MAY 1987” in white script on a red band. The underside of the foot bears a stylized gold calligraphic mark, possibly an artist’s signature, and a blue painted mark “ALW F.”.
