A pair of 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vases. Each octagonal, vase-form vessel is supported by a fitted carved dark wood stand. The vases feature a white glazed ground, adorned with polychrome decoration in underglaze blue and overglaze pink, green, and subtle earthy tones. The decoration depicts bird-and-flower motifs, including peonies and prunus branches, within paneled sections. These central designs are framed by decorative borders and stylized scrolling patterns on the neck and shoulder. A blue underglaze square seal mark, ‘乾隆年製’ (Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), translating to ‘Made in the Qianlong reign,’ is visible on the base of one vase.
