A rectangular lidded box, crafted from a patinated base metal, possibly bronze or brass, in the Art Nouveau style. The lid features a high-relief design depicting a draped female figure amidst stylized flora, including lilies and wheat. The word “CIGALE” (French for “cicada”) is clearly visible on the lid, alongside a less distinct mark. The box’s sides are decorated with a repeating arched motif. The interior is unlined.
