Another Great Auction
A collection of 17 large-format posters, primarily music-related, spanning styles from photographic album covers to concert promotions and graphic art. The period represented ranges from the late 1960s to the 1990s. Featured posters include iconic rock and pop culture imagery such as The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Abbey Road”, a 1972 John Lennon “One to One” concert poster for Madison Square Garden, “The Smiths” with “Meat is Murder”, Oasis’s “Definitely Maybe”, The Who’s “Quadrophenia”, and The Stone Roses’ album art. Also included are a Paul Weller poster, a Homer Simpson poster (similar to those identified online as “D’oh 1996 Homer Simpson Poster” or “THE SIMPSONS,’ THE GODFATHER HOMER’ BY MATT GROENING, AUTHENTIC 2007 POSTER”), and a black-and-white graphic print depicting a chimpanzee holding a banana. All items are printed on paper, some with a glossy finish.
