Another Great Auction
A framed collection of six rectangular embroidered panels, likely from the World War I era. Each panel features intricate silk-on-fabric embroidery depicting various patriotic and souvenir motifs, including military emblems, crowns, crossed flags (such as the Union Jack and French Tricolor), floral arrangements, a field gun, and a butterfly. Visible text includes “R.F.A.” on the top right panel, “Souvenir du Havre” (French for “Souvenir of Le Havre”) on the middle right, and a partially legible cursive message “May God protect you till we meet again” on the bottom left. The individual embroidered pieces are mounted on a matte board within a dark wooden frame, under glass.
