An Antique French Spelter and Wood Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue, depicting Jesus Christ with outstretched arms and the Sacred Heart emblem on his chest, characteristic of Sacred Heart or Christ the Redeemer iconography. The figure is cast in a dark, patinated bronze-toned metal (spelter) and mounted on an octagonal wooden base, which is attached to a lancet-arch shaped wooden backing. The wooden elements feature a polished finish. A triangular metal hanger is affixed to the top of the wooden backing, and faint, illegible markings are present on the wooden base and the reverse of the backing.
