A collection of utilitarian craftsman woodworking hand tools, likely dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. The assortment comprises a large wooden-bodied hand plane with a metal sole, two smaller metal hand planes (one black-painted, one conical and blue-painted, likely a sharpening stone or honing guide), a small dark wooden try square or marking gauge head with distinctive brass inlay, a curved metal auger-like tool with a dark wooden handle and brass adjustment, and a smaller wood-handled carving tool with a brass ferrule. Completing the set are a flat metal ruler/blade and a cast iron or steel combination square head, the latter’s accompanying blade marked with ‘1’ and a stylized monogram. Constructed from various woods, steel, cast iron, and brass.
