Another Great Auction 6th November
A Maw & Co. Majolica tubeline ‘Bullfinch’ bird tile, depicting a stylized finch perched on a branch amidst foliage and small flowers. The design is executed in various earth tones of brown and beige against an off-white background, characteristic of the Arts and Crafts aesthetic. The word “BUCCFINCH” is embossed within a rectangular cartouche in the upper left corner. The ceramic tile is set within a black wooden frame featuring a gold-toned inner border with a subtle reeded pattern.
