A rectangular carved wooden box with a hinged lid, crafted from a dark, reddish-brown hardwood. The lid features a prominent, deeply carved relief depicting a mythological serpentine creature, likely a dragon, surrounded by intricate scales and flowing patterns, characteristic of East Asian or Southeast Asian carving styles. The sides of the box also display carved decorative motifs. The interior is unlined. The lid is secured by two brass hinges.
