Another Great Auction 6th November
A hand-painted glazed earthenware pitcher, possibly Italian, featuring an ovoid body tapering to a neck, flanked by two elongated, strap-like handles in a plain, lighter ochre tone. The body is extensively decorated with a dense, repeating floral and foliate pattern in cobalt blue, bright yellow, green, and reddish-brown on a white ground. The base reveals an unglazed, reddish-brown earthenware foot ring with a partially glazed, lighter center showing a blush of the underlying clay. No discernible text or maker’s marks are visible.
