Another Great Auction 6th November
A 19th Century Southeast Asian bronze makeup holder. This patinated bronze or brass object features a central circular base supporting six hinged, radiating, teardrop-shaped receptacles, forming a floral or star-like arrangement. Each receptacle has a hinged lid. The piece is crowned by a stylized, screw-in bird finial, resembling a peacock. The interiors of the receptacles show residue from past use.
