A vintage 9ct yellow gold sapphire and CZ? flower cluster ring. The ring features a central oval-cut dark blue sapphire, encircled by a halo of smaller round-cut diamonds, set in a contrasting white metal. The polished yellow gold band has tapered shoulders and an openwork gallery beneath the setting. Markings on the interior of the band include ‘9CT’, British hallmarks, likely including an anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, and a maker’s mark ‘CLE’.
