A framed oil painting signed ‘RENAUD??’ (a French surname) depicting a rural genre scene. The artwork, executed on a rigid support, likely panel or board, features several figures in traditional attire gathered on a dirt path, with prominent trees and thatched-roof buildings in the background under a light sky. The signature is visible in the lower left quadrant. It is housed within an an ornate, gilded wooden frame, which includes a reeded inner edge and a blue-grey painted or patinated inner liner.
