Another Great Auction 6th November
A collection primarily featuring numerous Danbury Mint collector plates, depicting varied landscape, floral (including poppies and cherry blossoms), and avian (including a robin) motifs, many accented with gold-tone rims. Complementing these are several utilitarian and decorative vessels, including a tall white ribbed vase, a cream ceramic ‘BISCUIT’ jar, a sage green globular vase, a large white planter, a rustic-style bowl, a small multicolored pot, and a small blue and white ceramic cup. Also present is a cream ceramic lidded pot visibly marked ‘GWR,’ potentially indicating a Great Western Railway insulator. The lot further includes a stack of plain cream dinner plates with gold-tone rims, a blue glass bell with a silver-colored finial, small ceramic figurines (a dachshund and a robin), and a small floral-decorated lidded box. Accompanying these items are an orange paperback booklet titled ‘OLD DONCASTER number two’ (A Doncaster Gazette Publication) and numerous small collectible cards depicting diverse subjects.
