Another Great Auction 6th November
A Chinese-style snuff bottle crafted from milky-white translucent glass, featuring a flattened ovoid body. It is finely decorated with hand-painted polychrome enamel, depicting a golden dragon against blue clouds on one side and a multi-colored phoenix (fenghuang) among similar clouds on the reverse. The bottle is topped with a fitted light green stone stopper. The base features a red four-character mark, ‘蔡月記’ (Cài Yuè Jì), which translates to ‘Cai Yue’s Mark/Record/Shop,’ indicating a maker’s or workshop name.
