Another Great Auction 6th November
A varied collection of decorative objects, predominantly animal figurines. The lot includes a large, textured buffalo or bison figurine, likely cast in a composite material with a bronze-like finish, and a taller carved wooden goose figurine. Also present is a light-colored carved wooden pig figurine and a rectangular hinged wooden box, whose lid features faint, incised or drawn Asian characters, ‘寿’ (shòu – longevity) and ‘喜’ (xǐ – happiness). The lower level holds a translucent deep purple glass votive, a carved wooden turtle figurine, a small dark abstract figure, and two highly detailed, metallic purple and blue fantasy dragon figurines crafted from cast resin, in addition to a smaller carved wooden duck figurine.
