Another Great Auction 6th November
A bottle of Copeland Smugglers Reserve Bordeaux Grand Cru Rum, established 2016, presented as the Killyleagh Harbour Master Grand Cru Edition with the year 1633. The rum is bottled at 42% ALC/VOL in a 70 CL squat, matte black glass bottle, featuring a royal blue plastic cap and an embedded copper-tone compass rose medallion. The main label is blue with orange accents, displaying a historical nautical theme with illustrations of palm trees, barrels, and ships. Back labels detail its production, including fermentation from cane molasses, distillation in copper pot and column stills, maturation in Kentucky Bourbon barrels, and a finish in Bordeaux Grand Cru red wine casks. A historical narrative regarding French wine in County Down in 1633 is also present. The bottle includes a “FOR THE UK MARKET” barcode.
