Another Great Auction 6th November
A sealed bottle of Kakira Gold Rum, aged for 7 years using the Solera System. The bottle contains a clear dark amber liquid and features a gold foil-wrapped neck. The front label, primarily black and gold, displays a prominent stylized lion’s head illustration and identifies the product as “KAKIRA RUM GOLD,” described as “RUM MADE FROM PURE SUGAR CANE.” It originates from “KAKIRA DISTILLERY” in Uganda, “ON THE SHORES OF LAKE VICTORIA, THE SOURCE OF THE RIVER NILE.” An embossed lion head motif is visible on the glass above the main label. The reverse label provides further details on its Ugandan origin, noting it is pot-distilled in small batches and aged in Bourbon and Sherry casks. The bottle contains 70 cl and has an alcohol content of 43% Vol. UK import and health warning information, along with a UK duty paid sticker, are present on the reverse label.
