Buyer's premium:

This lot comprises a collection of twelve antique and later ecclesiastical crucifixes, primarily of Brass etc., wood, and silver-toned metals. The collection showcases a variety of styles and sizes, including a large standing altar-style crucifix with a flared base, alongside various wall-mounted and smaller devotional pieces. Materials often combine, such as metal corpora on wooden crosses or decorative metal accents. Notable features include the ‘INRI’ plaque, an acronym for “Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum,” consistently present above the corpus on many items. One smaller silver-toned crucifix is inscribed “ROMA”. The collection also includes a piece with a sculpted figure of Mary at its base and another featuring a skull and crossbones motif.
