Another Great Auction 6th November
An Art Nouveau terracotta bust by Ricardo Aurilli, circa 1900. The bust depicts a young woman with a serene downward gaze, her reddish-brown hair styled in a substantial braid adorned with a flower on the left shoulder. She is dressed in a garment featuring a pleated bodice and a ruffled collar. The unglazed terracotta exhibits a matte finish with subtle variations in tone. An incised mark “MIIO” followed by a symbol resembling a capital ‘S’ with a vertical line through it is present on the back of the base.
