Another Great Auction 6th November
A collection of decorative objects, likely modern or contemporary souvenirs. The lot includes a table lamp crafted from a large, carved natural seashell, possibly a Helmet shell, depicting a figural relief scene. It is mounted on a small ornate brass-tone metal stand and fitted with a white electrical cord with a UK/European-style plug. Also present are four small, polished carvings resembling turtles, made from banded stone such as onyx or agate. The collection further comprises multiple polished natural seashells, likely cowries, decorated with etched or painted scenes of marine life or landscapes. Visible text on these shells includes “SRI LANKA,” “PESCI” (Italian for ‘Fish’), “PEDRI,” “Pissas,” and “LIDO DI SAVIO” (an Italian coastal town).
