Another Great Auction 6th November
A pair of limited edition prints by Alan Ingham, titled ‘Rounding Up the Strays’ and ‘Gone Fishing’, reproductions of watercolor landscape paintings depicting traditional rural scenes. The upper print, ‘Rounding Up the Strays’, portrays a village road with stone buildings, a lone figure, and a flock of sheep and dogs, set against a mountainous background. The lower print, ‘Gone Fishing’, features a panoramic valley view with a cottage, scattered sheep, and rolling hills partially obscured by mist. Both artworks are presented under glass, matted, and housed in wooden frames; the top with a dark wood frame, and the bottom with a lighter wood frame accented with gold. The lower print is clearly marked with the artist’s name “ALAN INGHAM” in the lower right margin and bears a handwritten signature to the left. It is also numbered “57/250,” indicating it is the 57th print from a limited edition of 250 copies, and includes a partially illegible title below the image.
