Another Great Auction 6th November
A collection of six porcelain and ceramic items, primarily attributed to Schumann Bavaria Dresden Flowers Reticulated pattern. The five porcelain pieces feature white bodies with extensive polychrome floral decoration and gilt accents, many exhibiting intricate openwork or reticulated rims. This group includes a large footed bowl/planter, two smaller footed compotes (one with a silver-tone metal stand), a medium oval footed bowl, and a covered butter dish. The sixth item is a white ceramic commemorative mug with a gold-trimmed handle, featuring blue transfer-printed text and a symbol. It reads “Happy to meet” along the rim, and “Integrity Lodge No. 380. 150th. Anniversary 1835 – 1985” encircling a symbol depicting an eye above a compass and square motif with intertwined letters. The floral decorative style of the porcelain pieces suggests a late 19th to mid-20th century period, while the mug explicitly dates its commemoration to 1985.
