Another Great Auction 6th November
A diverse collection of metalware, predominantly comprising decorative and utilitarian items crafted from brass-toned, copper-toned, and silver-toned metals, some featuring enameled or painted details. The collection includes a group of stemmed goblets and chalices, some with dark bowls, alongside a three-piece decorative brass-toned tea service consisting of a teapot, a creamer, and a lidded pot. Also present are several pitchers and ewers of varying sizes, two fluted copper tumblers, and a brass-toned tankard. Decorative elements are prominent, with a group of miniature cannons in both brass and silver-toned metals, and a group of plates and a large bowl adorned with painted bird motifs on a blue-green ground. Stylistically, the items range from possible gothic or medieval revival chalices to more traditional European or potentially Middle Eastern-influenced forms in the brassware. No visible text or markings are discernible.
