Another Great Auction 6th November
An original 1957 London theatre program for ‘Fabulous Follies: Pleasures of Paris,’ featuring the personality Sabrina. This program, identified in market context as a ‘Plaisirs de Paris’ Follies Revue program, was presented at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, W.1., on April 20th, 1957. The cover features a stylized illustration of a showgirl in a classic mid-20th-century burlesque or revue style, with feathers, fishnet stockings, and long gloves, on a pink-red background, signed ‘Carruthers’ (or similar). The interior pages contain black and white photographs of various performers and stage scenes, including Sabrina, alongside promotional text for the ‘New Fabulous Follies REVUE.’ The program is constructed from paper.
